Leatherhead Museum is a free local history museum on Church Street in Leatherhead, run entirely by volunteers from the Leatherhead & District Local History Society. Covering Ashtead, the Bookhams, Fetcham and Leatherhead, the museum tells the story of the town and its surrounding district through its collections and displays. Volunteers guide visitors through the collections and are happy to answer questions about the area's history. The museum is open on Thursdays, occasional Fridays and Saturdays from April to October, with free entry for everyone.
