Enigma Rooms Pontefract is a town-centre escape room venue offering three separate 60-minute games for teams of two to six players. The rooms are Escape From Oz, a fantasy adventure that starts on a farm and ends up in a strange magical land, Sweeney Todd, a creepy barbershop mystery, and The Last Pirate, a story built around a pirate's unfinished business. Each game is private to the booking group, so a family books its own room and does not share it with strangers. The venue describes Escape From Oz as suitable for families and recommends it for players aged eight and over. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied in the room by an adult who takes part. Hints are available if a team gets stuck. Some puzzles involve ducking, crouching or crawling, so the games suit active, puzzle-minded children and the grown-ups who play alongside them.
