The Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum is run by a charity that looks after the cars, archives and stories of the British sports car maker. The museum sits in a converted barn in an Oxfordshire village, and its displays change regularly because only a handful of cars fit inside at once. Visitors see historic road and race cars, engines and cutaways, scale models of recent Formula One machinery, trophies and racing clothing and helmets. Visits are usually guided tours led by a museum host who points out the stories behind the exhibits. The building is small and quiet, with low lighting and few crowds, which suits children who enjoy cars and history. Free drop-in days are held on selected dates during the year, when no booking is needed.
