Facilities
We haven’t checked this venue’s facilities yet. Give them a ring if something specific matters for your visit.
The Hunterian Museum sits inside the Royal College of Surgeons of England in central London and is named after the eighteenth-century surgeon and anatomist John Hunter. Its galleries show a large collection of preserved anatomical and pathological specimens, surgical instruments, historical models, paintings and sculpture, tracing how surgery and medicine developed over several centuries. Older children with an interest in science, history or the body are likely to find it engaging, and the museum offers a free digital guide to help visitors find their way round the displays. Some material, including human remains, is intended for an adult or mature audience, so families with very young or sensitive children may want to consider this before visiting. Admission is free, and advance booking is recommended at busy times. A small cafe and shop are on site.
