The Museum of Croydon sits inside the Croydon Clocktower building in the town centre and tells the story of the borough from its earliest days to the present. Its galleries rotate temporary exhibitions alongside displays drawn from the local collection, so each visit can look different. Families can explore objects, photographs and local stories together, and the building also houses a cinema, a café, the central library and a community gallery, which makes it easy to combine a visit with lunch or a film. The museum describes children's activities and classes among what happens in the building, and it says it welcomes visitors of all abilities. Its website also shows a classroom photograph, a sign that school visits feature in its learning work.
