Goole Museum is a community museum on the upper floor of the town's library, telling the story of Goole as an inland port on the River Ouse. The ship wall displays scale models of vessels built in the town or sailed from its docks, with a detailed model of Sir Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird as the highlight. Younger visitors can step into reconstructions that include a 1950s boys' bedroom, a recreated hairdressers salon and an Aire and Calder diver at the base of the dock wall, and there are hands-on activities for children. A temporary exhibition gallery changes around ten times a year and often features local artists and community groups. The museum is small, so a visit suits a relaxed hour with a wet day or a school trip, and its Education Room is used for school and group sessions.
