Climbing the 144 steps to the top of the Withernsea Lighthouse rewards families with breathtaking views of the Holderness coastline, and on a clear day even the Humber Bridge can be spotted. After the climb, a tranquil garden offers a quiet spot to relax, perhaps with a refreshing drink from the café. The museum celebrates local heritage, showcasing RNLI and Coastguard history and the wartime past of Withernsea. A special exhibit pays tribute to film star Kay Kendall, born nearby, giving a glimpse of her silver‑screen life. The venue is ideal for children who enjoy climbing, history and quiet moments in a seaside setting.
Our 2026 season is now open. We’ll be welcoming visitors from Saturday 28th of March, from 12 – 4pm, and we will be open weekends until the end of October. We open 7 days per week from June 15th until Sept 11th.
