Bawdsey Quay Picnic Site car park on Ferry Road (IP12 3AX); not in East Suffolk Council's paid tariff list.

Bawdsey Beach is an open-access natural beach on the Deben peninsula in Suffolk, beside Bawdsey Quay. A small sandy beach is revealed at low tide, with shingle further up. The main family draws are the seasonal foot ferry across the River Deben to Felixstowe Ferry, rock pooling and beach games at low tide, and walks along the Suffolk Coast Path between East Lane and Shingle Street. Parking is at the free Bawdsey Quay Picnic Site car park on Ferry Road, and the Boathouse Cafe serves homemade cakes by the quay.
Seasonal foot ferry Easter to October, weather dependent; swimming not advisable due to strong currents; no lifeguard patrol.
