The park has woodland, gardens and a playground spread across its grounds. We haven't confirmed whether buggies are practical throughout, so it's worth contacting the visitor centre or checking the park walk routes beforehand if you're planning to push a toddler the whole way.

Christchurch Park is Ipswich's first public park, opened in 1895, set in 33 hectares of historic parkland right in the heart of the town. The Grade II listed park has a children's play area, tennis courts, table tennis, outdoor chess, a 5km parkrun route, public toilets, a Changing Places facility, refreshment kiosks and the Reg Driver Visitor and Education Centre. Its grounds include ponds (Round, Bog, Wilderness and Horseshoe), a community orchard, an arboretum, and veteran oaks and sweet chestnuts up to 400 years old, with the Grade I listed Christchurch Mansion at its heart. Entry is free and the park is open every day from 07:00, with gate closing times varying by season.
