Ampthill Rugby Club (Ampthill RUFC) is a community rugby club based at Dillingham Park, off Woburn Street in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. It is one of the biggest community clubs in the area, with around 200 adult members and more than 400 registered mini and youth players.
Mini rugby is the club's entry point for children from Under 6 (school Year 1) up to Under 12 (Year 7). Sessions focus on basic movement skills - running, catching and throwing - taught through games and simple rugby-themed activities in a fun, safe and welcoming environment, with occasional non-competitive festivals and mini-games to build confidence. Parents are encouraged to get involved. From Under 13 upwards, youth sides (Under 13 to Under 16) play age-group fixtures and festivals, and there are girls' teams from Under 10 to Under 18.
Mini and youth training runs on Sunday mornings at Dillingham Park during the season (roughly September to April), with the club shop open 09:00-11:30 on training mornings. Children join through the club's membership programme - the Mini & Youth Player Family Full Membership (£275/year) covers a player plus partner and children, with an U18 Player membership at £190/year. Parking at the club is limited, so the club recommends walking or cycling if you live locally.
The club also fields six adult teams, with the first XV playing in the second tier of English rugby at Dillingham Park.
