Addison Howard Park is the main park in Kempston, Bedfordshire, managed by Bedford Borough Council and holder of a Green Flag Award. Originally a 19th century landscape garden forming the grounds of the Grange Estate, it was given to the people of Kempston by Mrs Harold Howard in memory of her son Addison, who was killed in France in the First World War; a further 28 acres were added after her death in 1949. The park is open daily for general public use with free entry. Children's play area, basketball court, cricket pitch, football pitches, multi-use games area, outdoor fitness equipment, tennis courts and a bowling green, with toilets on the outer park path by the play area. A community garden is looked after by Green Man Community Garden volunteers, and a tree trail highlights trees from the original landscape design. The Addison Centre, available for hire, is set within the park grounds.
