Gearrannan Blackhouse Village is a restored 19th-century crofting township on the exposed Atlantic coast of the Isle of Lewis. Visitors can walk among the restored thatched blackhouses, step inside a living blackhouse, browse the museum exhibition and watch Harris Tweed being woven on a single-width loom, with storytelling sessions that bring island history to life. The village shop sells authentic local crafts and Harris Tweed products, and the cafe serves freshly baked goods and home baking. Families can explore coastal paths, spot wildlife and follow the waymarked walk to Dalmore and Dalbeg beaches. Admission: adults GBP 6.00, concessions (60+) GBP 5.50, family ticket (2 adults + 2 children under 16) GBP 15.00. The visitor centre, museum, cafe and shop are open seasonally (30 March to end of October).
