Strathnaver Museum sits in the former Parish Church of Farr at Clachan, Bettyhill, on the north coast of Sutherland. It tells the story of 8,000 years of human occupation in north-west Sutherland, centred on the tragedy of the early 19th century Highland Clearances, with rooms dedicated to Clan Mackay and crofting life. The collection includes a Bronze Age burial beaker, a croft house display, agricultural and fishing exhibits, and contemporary art. Reopened after a major refurbishment project; open 2026/27 season with under 18s admitted free.
