Queen's View is Forestry and Land Scotland's most popular visitor attraction in Highland Perthshire, perched on the north shore of Loch Tummel on the B8019, about 7 miles from Killiecrankie. The sweeping vista west along the loch towards Schiehallion was made famous by Queen Victoria in 1866 (named, historians say, after Queen Isabel, wife of Robert the Bruce). The site has a cafe and visitor centre (open daily 10:00-15:00), a viewpoint platform, woodland trails and toilets, with car parking at £3 per day. Out-of-hours toilets, picnic areas and an ancient monument are at nearby Allean Forest, half a mile away. Loch Tummel itself is a National Scenic Area; families enjoy self-guided kayaking and canoeing from the loch shores, permit fishing (Loch Rannoch Conservation Association), sailing (Loch Tummel Sailing Club at Foss) and camping.
