Quarry Park is one of the UK's longest-running disc golf courses, established in 1994 and set in 20 acres of Warwickshire countryside at Blackdown, on the edge of Leamington Spa. Families throw frisbees into 27 Innova Discatcher and 10 DGUK Castle baskets rather than hitting golf balls into holes.
A 15-hole short course (holes averaging 45m, around an hour for a group of four) is ideal for beginners and children and avoids the river Avon; the 18-hole long course (holes averaging 90m, at least two hours) offers a bigger challenge with red and blue tees, plus a championship layout. Children pay reduced rates and one disc per person is free to hire.
There is a pro shop selling discs and equipment plus drinks and snacks, a field shelter, picnic benches and toilet facilities. Free on-site parking (gravel car park for up to 40 cars with an overflow grass area) has direct access from Old Milverton Lane. Booking in advance via the online booking system is recommended as the course may close early if there are no bookings; there is a tee-off time every six minutes. The course also hosts English Disc Golf Association tour events including the annual Quarry Park Open.
