Upton House is a late 17th-century National Trust country house and gardens near Banbury, Warwickshire, whose world-renowned art collection makes it unique among National Trust houses. Families can explore the historic rooms, terraced gardens, mirror pool and woodland walks, then refuel at the Pavilion Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Under-5s go free, well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome in the gardens, and there is a large car park 300 yards from the house.
