Southwold Pier extends 623 feet into the North Sea from the Suffolk coast. The pier holds Tim Hunkin's Under the Pier Show, a collection of eccentric machines; a traditional arcade; and The Water Clock and Wacky Walk of Mirrors. The Clockhouse serves lunches, cakes and hot chocolate. The Boardwalk Restaurant and Pier Fish & Chip Shop offer food with sea views. There is shopping at Seaweed & Salt and the Treasure Chest gift shop.
Hours vary by season — official opening-times page filters: Spring, Spring/Summer, Summer, Summer Holidays (18 Jul-31 Aug), Winter, Spring Half Term, Easter holidays, Whitsun Half Term. Pier itself always accessible, weather permitting (wind-closure notices occasionally posted).
