PK Porthcurno is a museum exploring the history and science of global communications. The valley of Porthcurno became a hub for worldwide communications after the first undersea telegraph cable arrived in 1870. The museum takes visitors through the science that made global communications possible, from those early undersea telegraph cables to modern fibre optics and digital communications. The site hosts rotating exhibitions including current displays on misinformation and propaganda. The museum runs family-friendly activities during school holidays and workshops in partnership with local venues.
APRIL - OCTOBER: open 7 days a week 10:00-17:00. JANUARY - MARCH and NOVEMBER - DECEMBER: open Monday, Saturday and Sunday 10:30-16:00.
