Kailzie's walled garden, enclosed by early nineteenth century walls, winds through herbaceous borders, copper beech hedges and productive planting, with a historic sundial and restored Mackenzie and Moncur glasshouses sheltering exotic plants. In late spring the Laburnum Walk glows with golden blossom. Beyond the formal beds, woodlands and wild gardens offer natural walks under the canopy along the Kailzie Burn, where you might spot red squirrels, otters and woodland birds. The slip garden nearby holds herbaceous planting and older fruit trees. One of Scotland's most remarkable arboretums grows champion and rare trees accumulated over generations, with seasonal displays from snowdrops and spring bulbs to rhododendrons and specimen plants.
