Paid parking at both ponds. Great Pond (Bacon Lane, GU10 2QB): open 8am-9pm, RingGo or card payment only. Little Pond (Priory Lane, GU10 3BT): pay and display via JustPark app or machines. National Trust members park free (scan membership card at machine). No overnight parking or camping.

Frensham Great Pond & Little Pond form part of Frensham Common, a large area of lowland heathland looked after by the National Trust on the Surrey/Hampshire border near Farnham. The Great Pond has a sandy beach, shallow edges and is a popular spot for wild swimming, with lifeguards in attendance during the summer months. Little Pond offers a quieter, more tranquil setting for picnics and paddling. There are miles of walking and cycling trails across the heathland, plus a cafe, toilets and a play area near the visitor centre. Dogs are welcome on leads. Parking is pay and display (free for National Trust members).
Swimming at Frensham Great Pond only, in two designated buoyed areas (swimming is NOT permitted at Little Pond to protect wildlife). Bathing season May-September, Environment Agency-monitored (current classification: Excellent). Lifeguards/supervision at the Great Pond in summer peak times. Swimming is suspended when blue-green algae is present - algae confirmed June 2026, always check the Waverley Borough Council page before visiting. Dogs welcome but not on Great Pond beach areas; keep on leads March-August (Great Pond) / March-September (Little Pond).
