Calderglen Country Park lies along a scenic wooded glen forged by the Rotten Calder river, a tributary of the River Clyde. The glen extends over 5km and has many attractive waterfalls and important geological features. Attractions include Calderglen Zoo (home to over fifty animal species including meerkats, wallabies, coatis and otters; a BIAZA member), a tropical conservatory and gift shop, ornamental gardens, nature trails and walks, toddlers' and adventure play areas, a courtyard cafe and an 18-hole golf course. Disabled parking and toilet facilities are signposted throughout the park; assistance dogs are welcome.
Park open year-round. Zoo and Conservatory opening hours vary by season (see hoursNote).
