Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life (also known as Summerlee Museum of Scottish Life) is a free family attraction in Coatbridge, run by North Lanarkshire Council. Spread across 20 acres of indoor and outdoor space, it brings Lanarkshire's industrial heritage to life with the exhibition hall, the recreated Miners Row street, historic tram rides and the Ironworks viewing pod. Kids can climb, slide and play in the adventure park, explore old workshops and steam engines, and hop aboard the historic tram. The Summerlee Cafe serves breakfast and lunch, and picnic benches are available for families bringing their own food. Entry is free and the museum is open 7 days a week (10am-4pm, until 5pm during North Lanarkshire school holidays). No booking needed except for groups of 10+ or school visits. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.
