Lydiard Park pairs a historic house with acres of parkland and play areas, so kids can run around while there's a bit of history and scenery for the grown-ups. It's a good option for a picnic and a wander.
The parkland and play areas are outdoors and suit all ages, making it an easy dry-day trip.
Park closing times vary by season (dusk): from 9:30pm (May-Aug) to 4:30pm (Nov-Dec). Lydiard House Museum open Wed-Sun 10am-4pm (5th-30th Aug).
