Cars: £8.00 all day, or £5.00 after 3pm. Large Vehicles: £11.00 all day, or £7.00 after 3pm. Coaches: £30.00 all day, or £20.00 after 3pm. Blue Badge: Free. Motorcycles: Free. National Trust and English Heritage members can park for free. Car park open from 9am-6pm. Overnight parking prohibited.

Avebury is home to one of the largest prehistoric stone circles in the country, and unlike some ancient sites you can walk right up to the standing stones and among them. It's an easy, open spot for kids to roam and burn off energy while you take in the scenery.
This is a National Trust site out in the open air, so it suits all ages and works best on a dry day when everyone's happy to be outdoors. It's worth checking opening times and parking with the National Trust before you set off.
Events like 'Summer of Play', 'Outdoor theatre', 'Festival of Archaeology Day', and 'Sculpture exhibition' are seasonal.
