The forest park features a network of 5 waymarked walking trails of varying lengths, a large destination playpark, trim trail, mountain bike trails, horse trails, cafe and toilet facilities. Visitors can also enjoy a five-mile scenic drive with vista parks and the biodiversity of the local area. The park covers 1,534 hectares and was the first forest park in Northern Ireland set up in a coniferous plantation woodland, opened to the public in 1967. There is a cafe operation at weekends in low season and daily in summer.
