Derwent Walk Country Park is a mixture of woodlands, meadows, wetlands, riverside and reclaimed industrial sites all linked by the Derwent Walk. It's great for family walks, cycling, running and wildlife spotting, with lots of car parks around the site. Managed by Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, the park offers a network of scenic trails alongside the River Derwent with picnic areas and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
