Alton Towers Resort spans over 500 acres and combines a theme park with a waterpark, gardens, and on-site accommodation. The theme park features over 40 rides and attractions, including world-class rollercoasters like Wicker Man, Oblivion and The Smiler, alongside family rides such as Gangsta Granny: The Ride and the new Bluey junior coaster. The resort also includes the original gothic-style Towers and landscaped gardens dating back over 200 years. Children under 90cm go free to the theme park. You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks; designated picnic areas are available throughout the grounds, though food is not permitted in the Waterpark or hotel areas.
Alton Towers Theme Park is open from March until November every year. The theme park closes for the Winter season around the start of November. The theme park will reopen each Spring. Throughout selected dates in November and December, we offer a magical Christmas Day Out. Guests can enjoy our Waterpark almost all year round! No planned closures for 2026.
