Cheddar Gorge is a dramatic limestone landscape in the Mendip Hills, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. A Day Ticket includes five attractions: Gough's Cave (45 minutes), which housed Cheddar Man and one of the earliest domestic dogs; Jacob's Ladder (10 minutes); and the Museum of Prehistory (30 minutes). Beyond the caves, there's rock climbing, adventure caving, and the Black Cat Freefall climb. Escape rooms last 30 to 90 minutes. Seasonal events include Stone Age SOS in summer with fire lighting demonstrations and crafts, plus Halloween and Christmas activities. The gorge itself offers towering cliffs and walking trails through the landscape.
