Farm shops with play areas in Royston

Questions parents ask

Is the Fun Barn manageable with a buggy, or a mix of ages?

The soft play has a separate gated area for under-5s, making it easier to manage younger and older children at once. Buggy access is not confirmed, so contact the venue to check if you can bring one round the space or store it safely.

How long should we allow for a visit?

Sessions are timed and bookable in advance, typically running 2 hours or more. You can enjoy the in-house café during your session, and if you book the soft play, you get all-day access to The Beach (except after-school sessions).

Can we eat at the Fun Barn, or do we need to bring food?

There is an in-house café serving freshly prepared food, snacks, meals and drinks, so you do not need to bring a picnic. Outside food and drink cannot be consumed inside the Fun Barn or on The Beach, though goods already bought from the Farm Shop may be brought in (but not eaten there).

Do we need to book, or can we just turn up?

Booking a timed session is strongly recommended, especially at weekends and school holidays. Walk-ins may be available at quieter times at the management's discretion, subject to maximum capacity.

What should we remember to bring or know before we arrive?

Socks must be worn by all children and adults on the equipment; the venue sells socks if you forget. The venue recommends that children's arms and legs are covered to avoid friction burns on the slides, and children over 5 are better suited to the large slides in the main play frame.
