Newcastle Climbing Centre occupies a former church, St Marks, and contains over 1200 square metres of indoor climbing space. There are tall roped walls, a separate bouldering zone, an introductory area, and 10 auto belay climbing routes. The centre offers taster sessions for first-time climbers, introductory and advanced courses, kids clubs, and coaching for all abilities. A specialist gear shop is on site. Women's climbing nights run on Tuesday evenings.
