The seafront has cliff-top walks with views across to the Isle of Wight, and sits on the edge of Bournemouth's historic gardens. The beach is dotted with restaurants, cafés and kiosks. Facilities include accessible toilets, showers, drinking water and free electric barbecue hotplates. Wheelchair-accessible land trains run along the seafront, and a beach wheelchair is available from Boscombe beach office from May to September. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from May to September but must be kept on a lead on the promenade.
