Joyland is a family theme park on Great Yarmouth seafront, open since 1949. The centrepiece is the world-famous Super Snails ride, a historic dark ride that has run since the park opened and recently won bronze in the best historic ride in the UK. Other classic attractions include the Tyrolean Tub Twist, one of the last standing Virginia Reels in the world, also from 1949. Newer rides include the Spook Express, Neptune's Kingdom dark ride, The Major Orbit spinning ride, Pirate Ship, Balloon Wheel Ferris wheel, Jet Cars, Skydiver, and Convoy Trucks in the arcade. Most rides require a minimum height of 110cm but children under this height can ride with a paying adult; exceptions are Neptune's Kingdom, The Pirate Ship and The Balloon Wheel. The park also has an amusement arcade and an American Diner.
Our season runs from late March to the end of October. Joyland is closed during the winter period, November to early March. All opening dates, times and ride availability subject to change, weather and trade permitting.
