Monkey World is a rescue centre for primates that have been part of the illegal wildlife trade or have suffered abuse and neglect. The centre provides sanctuary to over 230 rescued and endangered primates of 25 different species, which are rehabilitated and integrated into natural living groups. Visitors can see chimpanzees, orang-utans, gibbons, monkeys and prosimians housed in separate primate groups. The centre has assisted 27 governments worldwide to stop the black market trade in primates since 1987.
