The Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences is the University of Cambridge's geology museum, located on the Downing Site. A walk through the University's oldest museum takes you on a 4.5 billion year journey through time, from the meteoritic building blocks of planets to thousands of fossils illustrating the evolution of life. Highlights include the original fossil specimens collected by Charles Darwin, an extensive dinosaur fossil collection, and a magnificent collection of rocks and minerals. Free entry, no booking required for individuals.
