Touchstones is the museum, gallery and arts centre run by Your Trust in a Grade II listed building in Rochdale town centre. It was formerly known as Rochdale Art Gallery and holds an art and heritage collection that is shown in changing exhibitions. The building is currently closed for redevelopment. The operator says the refurbished site will bring together a performance venue, creative studios, education rooms and meeting spaces, an evolving museum collections display, a new dining area and refurbished galleries. Once it reopens, families can expect a mix of art, local history and hands-on education activities in one central venue. Check the venue's own site for the reopening date before planning a visit.
