Victoria Baths is a Victorian bathhouse on Hathersage Road in south Manchester, opened in 1906 and once a working public pool. Visitors can see the three pool halls, the Turkish baths suite and the stained glass, glazed tiling and cast iron balconies that make the building unusual. Guided tours explain how the building worked and what it has been through since it closed as a public pool, which suits older children with an interest in history and architecture. The building is only partly restored and is unheated, so the public calendar is limited to certain months and days, and it is worth checking before a trip. The site also hosts events, education visits and occasional festivals, and a tea room is on site.

Public visits from March or April to October or November; check the events page for dates.
