Daventry Country Park is a popular country park with a reservoir, adventure playground, and circular walking trails, ideally situated within a mile of Daventry town centre. The park features three circular trails: the 2.5 mile Reservoir Walk, 1.5 mile Meadow Walk and 1 mile Woodland Walk, as well as an adventure playground with inclusive equipment, a castle-themed fort, zip wire, and swings.
The Reservoir Cafe serves hot and cold food daily, and there are designated picnic areas throughout the park. Activities include open water swimming (summer), non-powered water sports, fishing, orienteering, a fitness trail, bird watching from a hide, and geocaching. The park also has a community sensory garden, a local nature reserve, and conservation grazing areas.
Parking is pay and display (blue badge holders free). Always double-check current times, prices and what's suitable for your children directly with the venue before travelling.
Summer (April-October): Cafe Mon-Sat 9am-5pm, Sun/Bank Hols 9am-2pm. Winter (November-March): Cafe Mon-Sat 9am-2pm, Sun/Bank Hols 9am-2pm. Toilets open 9am-5pm peak season, 9am-4pm winter.
