Bramall Hall is a black and white timber-framed Tudor manor house on the edge of Bramhall, set in a large area of Victorian-style parkland and woodland. Stockport Council runs the hall and its grounds. Visitors can take a guided tour or explore the historic rooms at their own pace, and the house has a long story to follow, from its medieval origins through to later family ownership. The upper floors can only be reached by stairs and the floors are uneven, so the ground floor is the easiest part for those with limited mobility. The wider park has walking paths, lakes and brooks that suit a relaxed family stroll, and a café sits in the old stable block. Groups and school parties can book tours and learning visits, and the site holds seasonal events such as festive trails in November. Check opening days before you travel, as the hall is closed on several weekdays.

Festive decorations and trails run in November and December; check the events listing before visiting.
