Exeter Segways runs guided Segway safaris across private roads, woodland tracks and countryside on the Escot Estate in east Devon. Each ride begins with one-to-one tuition and a safety briefing on a training track, so first-time riders can build confidence before heading out with an instructor. Safari lengths range from an hour to 90 minutes, and the 90-minute option finishes with races in a skills area. A Segway Olympics session of slaloms, sprints and egg-and-spoon races suits groups who want games rather than a trail ride. The centre is aimed at older children, teenagers and adults rather than younger children, with a minimum age of 10, and it also takes birthday parties, school trips and group days. Parking on site is free for the day.
Safari routes vary with the time of year.
