Mace Playce is a family-run soft play centre in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, aimed at children from babies up to about twelve years old. The main soft play is split into separate zones for under fives and older children, with a dedicated baby area and a games area so smaller children can play without being crowded out. Parents can grab a hot or cold snack or a coffee from the on-site snack bar while children run about. The centre also hosts seasonal events and character appearances, and has private party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations. A sister branch operates in the Chelmsford city centre on Springfield Road, so families using the city side should check that site separately. The centre suits a rainy afternoon, a birthday or a simple energetic morning out with toddlers and primary-age siblings.
