Pyramids is one of Portsmouth's largest leisure complexes, sitting on the Clarence Esplanade beside Southsea seafront and overlooking the Solent. Families with younger children tend to head for Exploria, the soft play area on site, which spreads across three connected play worlds with climbing frames, slides, mazes and ball pits, and includes a separate space for toddlers and babies. The swimming pools include a toddler pool alongside a fun pool with slides, waves and water features. Adults can use the gym, fitness classes and studios, and a seasonal outdoor café and terrace looks out over the water. The centre is run by BH Live as a community leisure facility, so it suits a day of active play whatever the weather.
