Priory Maze & Gardens is a garden attraction on the North Norfolk coast, a short distance from Sheringham. The centrepiece is a seven-foot hedge maze shaped after the nearby ruins of Beeston Priory, with a raised viewing platform for anyone who wants to plot a route out. Around it lie about ten acres of themed gardens, including a fern walk, a winter garden, a meadow with a stream and a pine walk where a children's play area sits among the trees. Younger visitors can crawl through hobbit holes, race down slides and go pond dipping, and there is a quiz to follow around the site. The café has a sheltered outdoor dining area, and a plant centre sells plants grown in the site's own polytunnels. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds, and picnic benches are dotted around for families who bring their own food.
