Amazona Zoo sits in parkland on the edge of Cromer and is built around South American wildlife. Visitors can see jaguars, pumas, monkeys, flamingos, tapirs, caimans and tropical birds, with a tropical house and a free-roaming mara among the animals. The zoo is compact enough to walk round in an hour or two, which suits families with younger children. There is an indoor soft play area for under-12s, an outdoor adventure play area with large jumping pillows, a picnic area and a cafe. Keeper talks and feeding sessions run through the day. Schools and clubs are welcome for group visits, and an undercover room can be used for indoor picnics when the weather turns.
Indoor soft play (Jungle Tumbles) is for under-12s; outdoor play area Rainforest Springs is open daily, with the jumping pillows open weather permitting.
