Wild Discovery is a small zoo in the grounds of the Ribby Hall holiday village near Wrea Green, a short drive from the Lancashire coast. Its collection includes otters, meerkats, armadillos, porcupines, pelicans, wallabies, genets, rare breed pigs and sheep, tortoises, marmosets, and a range of reptiles, amphibians and insects. The zoo is built around daily interactive talks and animal encounters, such as farmyard, pelican, bat and meerkat sessions, so families can join a keeper rather than only walk past enclosures. The site suits younger children who want a relaxed visit, and it can be combined with the village's woodland walk and outdoor play areas. Dogs, including assistance dogs, are not admitted to the zoo, and scooters and bikes are not allowed inside.

Summer and winter opening patterns differ; see hoursNote.
