A museum and visitor centre built around a restored medieval farmhouse, set among gardens on the edge of the Pendle Hill landscape. Families can explore displays on the history of the Park Hill farmstead, the vernacular buildings of Pendle Forest and the story of the 1612 Pendle Witch trials, which many children find gripping. Outside, an eighteenth-century walled garden with box parterres and a small garden museum offers space to wander, and a woodland walk called Bluebell Wood adds a short outdoor stroll. The tea room overlooks the walled garden and serves lunches, cakes and soup. It suits a rainy afternoon or a relaxed visit combining indoor history with fresh air and a snack.
