Jacksons at Jedburgh is a working family farm at Kersheugh, a short drive south of Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. Day visitors can meet the Highland cows, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry, and feed the animals with food included in the ticket. A farm play area is set up for younger children, and there is a self-guided walk around the fields with views over the hills. The farm runs seasonal activities, so what you see depends on the time of year: lambing and calving in spring, and harvest later on. Families with toddlers can join a parent and toddler farm group held during term time, and a tractor ride and hands-on Highland cow sessions are offered as extras. The café serves tea, coffee and ice cream, and there are picnic areas and baby changing. It suits families looking for a relaxed countryside day with animals rather than rides.
