Dorset Falconry Park is a small, family-run collection of birds of prey on a rural site at Lewell, just outside Dorchester. The team describes it as focused on the care and conservation of birds rather than a walk-in zoo, so visits are built around pre-booked hands-on sessions. Families can meet hawks, falcons and owls, and older visitors can fly birds to the glove or handle an eagle. A VIP family session is offered for two adults and two children, with extra family members able to join. Owl encounters let guests meet and hold barn, tawny and eagle owls. Spectators can accompany participants, and the site has a tea room and a small shop. Because sessions are one-to-one or for your own group, the park suits families who want a more personal and educational bird experience than a general animal park.
