Foxdown Children's Farm is a small working farm on the top of the Marshwood Vale in West Dorset, opened to visitors in 2022 by a family who have farmed the land for decades. Families can wander the paddocks and barn, feeding and petting pigs, goats, sheep, ponies, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and poultry. Animal handling sessions run at set times on busy days, and there is a small children's play area with a playfort, a sunken trampoline and a sandpit. A refreshments cabin serves snacks and drinks, and there are picnic tables around the site. Toddler parent-and-baby sessions run during term time, birthday parties and farmer experiences are offered, and the farm welcomes school and pre-school visits. Most of the ground is grass, so some paths are unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Dogs are not admitted.
Entry from mid March to end of October per the venue site. Term-time Wednesdays closed. Term-time Tuesday and Friday 10:00-13:00 Foxdown Cubs toddler sessions.
