Walford Mill Crafts is a contemporary craft centre in a historic 18th-century mill beside the River Allen on the northern edge of Wimborne town centre. Visitors can browse the exhibition gallery and shop floors of handmade work, and watch resident makers in open studios working in jewellery, ceramics, textiles and printmaking. The centre runs a regular programme of creative workshops, including sessions for children, so families can take part as well as look. A paved riverside courtyard hosts seasonal craft markets and events, and the on-site café serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The mill is a short walk from the town centre car parks, and the relaxed setting suits a slower, hands-on outing.
