Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is free to enter and holds collections spanning the natural and cultural world. The galleries include Ancient Egypt, Dinosaurs and the Leicester Stories Gallery, plus temporary exhibitions from the collections and touring shows from national museums. The museum offers children's handling sessions and activities such as entertaining talks and lunchtime concerts. Some parts are currently closed for major refurbishment creating new galleries to showcase Leicester's art and design collections.
